Comparing Israel to the Nazis: It’s All Coming

The “Squad’s” Game Plan
According to the Fox News website: “The tight-knit ‘Squad’ of freshman progressive lawmakers has started to adopt a curious new talking point – defending Israel boycotts by likening them to boycotts against Nazi Germany.”[1]

The “Squad” consists of four members of the U.S. House of Representatives considered to be part of the radical left wing of the Democratic Party. They are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, and Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.

Recently, Rep. Tlaib voiced her support of BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions), a movement promoting various forms of boycott against Israel for their alleged mistreatment of the Palestinians. In so doing, Rep. Tlaib favorably compared Israeli boycotts to American boycotts of the Nazis in the 1930s and 1940s.

Rep. Omar has also made similar allusions.

Anti-Semitism Rising
Though the vast majority of Congress denounced such comparisons and refused to condemn Israel, this overt attack on the Jewish state by these young politicians is just the seedling of a movement that will grow rapidly.

Despite America’s political support of Israel, the hearts of the American public do not coincide. Anti-Israel and anti-Jewish voices have been boldly advancing with the rise of the Internet, and will soon become a tsunami. American anti-Semitism has always been robust, but it has been kept in check as incidents against Jews have been relatively few.

But now that we have very-well publicized politicians fearlessly and zealously waving the anti-Israel/anti-Semite flag, those of like sentiments will follow suit and check their apprehensions at the door. Emboldened by the actions of the “Squad,” anti-Semitism will begin to rear its ugly head in the U.S., and will not shy away.

It’s All Coming
Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who accept the Jews – along with Christians – as God’s people should not be surprised. The Jewish people, even in their current spiritual disobedience, have always been God’s witness on Earth that He is a faithful God, one who will keep His promises.

God has made a number of promises to the Jewish people and has every intention of fulfilling them. The fact that the Jewish people – the scant 16 million of them worldwide – still exist and are back in their land is proof that God has not forsaken His people (Romans 11:1).

Knowing that the Jewish people still belong to God, Satan has been hell-bent on destroying them from the time they became a people. Of course he has failed, but this doesn’t mean he has given up. If he can get the U.S. to turn against the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, he would have accomplished much.

And he will have a degree of success. According to Scripture – particularly the latter chapters of the Book of Zechariah – Israel will stand alone and on the brink of destruction as the Lord will “gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped” (Zechariah 14:2).

Notice the word “all.” I surmise this includes the U.S.

Worldwide Jew- and Israel-hating will increase, and it is already beginning. The “Squad” will certainly contribute to the effort, but pray that these four young ladies will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and change from the inside out. Yet, even if they do, many will take their place, marching to the cadence Satan plays for them.

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure” (Psalm 22:6).
