Can someone help me with this?
Whenever I check my stats, I always notice that the same 3 or 4 blogs – from more than a year ago, and not particularly my best – are constantly being opened by people in foreign countries.
I can’t believe that those clicking on these blogs are so infatuated with them that they keep reading the same few over and over again.
Do you experience the same thing?
If so, why does this keep happening? Are these “clickers-of-the-same-few-blogs” up to no good? (I haven’t noticed anything nefarious on my blog since it began five years ago.)
For
now, I’ve put these 4 blogs in “Private” mode so that they won’t be visible to
the public. Will see what this results in.
Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks!

David, discovered my first time seeing a post reblogged to another country, Turkey, in yesterday. It was a Christian poem.

Hi Big Sky. You may be on to something. I did a search for name of the blog, and notice that a church in the Midwest has linked to it. However, this was recently and does not account for the year-long viewing of them. I’ve had many posts re-blogged to other countries, but they don’t constantly get clicked on.
Will continue to investigate. Thanks for the input!

While I have views from around the world, this post is the first one reblogged. I think comment readers should note the difference between views and reblogs.

Hmmm. I have noticed several foreign countries in my stats but haven’t seen a trend in which they look at. The main thing baffling me are every post gets a few likes and follows I wonder about once I look at the blog attached. Some seem to be simply promoting their own somethingd, others appear to hold a very different philosophy than I do. I don’t want to say they weren’t genuine likes or follows. I can always hope God is opening a door

Regarding my “foreign-read” blogs, I have tons of those, but it’s these particular ones I can’t understand.
Regarding the other topic you’ve brought up, I’m with you. Sometimes I’ll just check out someone I got a “like” from and notice they have nothing in common with anything I’ve written. I think, like you said, they are promoting their own blog, hoping to get a click in return for their click.

Oops. Wasn’t done. To continue… but, I wonder if they have something else up their sleeves. Sigh. I worry that sounds untrusting?

Yes, they do have something up their sleeves. Nothing nefarious, just trying to add to their view totals whether people read their posts or not.

I’m a skeptic, so I’m always going to go with the “glass half-empty” viewpoint! Take what I say with a grain of salt (or whatever that cliche is).

I understand. I can be a skeptic, too. ☺️

I read that United States doesn’t use the internet the most. Interesting right? According to research China and India surpass the United States when it comes to Internet usage. Getting people to visit our blog is a difficult task, but foreigners seem to be checking us out. I get views from the United Kingdom.

Same here. I’m technologically challenged, so you won’t get much help from me, I’m afraid.
I noticed today that I was getting “likes” on something I thought I had scheduled for next week, but I guess it got posted yesterday. I rescheduled it, hope that doesn’t mess up anything. Interesting point about a church’s linking to a post. Maybe that’s what’s happening with an old post of mine that keeps getting new viewers. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy about it, because it is one that makes salvation very clear, and as far as I’m concerned, whoever needs to read it is more than welcome.
