Humiliating Christianity
Once again, a segment of 21st-century Christendom has humiliated itself and given unbelievers cause to mock the true faith.

The so-called modern-day prophets spent 2020 proclaiming President would easily win reelection. They did not cast themselves as political experts or historians, but claimed they received this particular “indisputable fact” from God Himself.

Here in America, they went on the Trinity Broadcast Network and on such charlatan programs as “Sid’s Roth It’s Supernatural” and tickled the ears of their gullible adherents with visions and dreams they alleged came from God.

Do a YouTube search on “prophets predict Trump will be reelected” – or something like that – and you will see what I mean. Here’s a link to an excellent post by Justin Peters which not only shows the “prophecies” of Trump winning reelection, but of Covid-19 being eradicated.

No Excuse
And even when the election went to Joe Biden, the “prophets” were still proclaiming that “it’s not over yet – Trump will be reelected President.” Again, they had no data to support this claim, only the false assertion that God told them it would happen.

Next these charlatans claimed the election was stolen, hence the reason Biden is now in the White House. Even if this is true, how could it have happened if it was God who declared Trump would win? Is it possible that mere mortals can change God’s proclaimed will?

Of course not. Had Trump been “God’s man” and the Lord ordained he have a second term, Trump would now be in the White House, not at his Florida estate.

These modern-day “prophets” in the U.S. and Europe (particularly in the U.K.) are transmitting to their naïve hordes nothing more than the fabrications of their own creative minds. Their words are contrived in their own imaginations – wishful thinking at best – morsels of lies those with itching ears consume with gusto.

What Scripture Says
Scripture is clear on false prophets and what should be done to them. Of course, modern-day “prophets” twist such teaching, saying that the Old Testament dictates for proclaiming prophecy is not the same as Church Era protocols.

Nonsense, just as their prophecies are wrong over and over and again, so are the pathetic excuses, justifications, and defenses of their failures. Deuteronomy 18:20-22 says:

But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name, a word which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ And if you say in your heart, ‘How will we recognize the word which the Lord has not spoken?’ When the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, and the thing does not happen or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you are not to be afraid of him (Deuteronomy 18:20-22, emphasis added).

No explanation needed; the text is clear. Those whose “prophecies” do not come true “shall die.” Though this commandment was given to ancient Israel, it reflects God’s hatred of false prophets and prophecies. God has not changed His mind.

In the Church Age – the age of grace – we don’t stone people to death, rather, we give them time to look upon their wrong and repent. However, this does not change the truth of the true test of a prophet: “How will we recognize the word which the Lord has not spoken?’ When the prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, and the thing does not happen or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken.”

The modern-day “prophets” guaranteed Trump’s reelection. They were wrong. What embarrassments and frauds!
