Sanity Won’t Win Out — For Now

2 Hopeful News Stories
Recently, 2 stories appearing on the Fox News website offered hope for many readers. Both centered on the issue of “wokeness.”

The first story’s headline reads: “SpaceX fires employees who criticized Elon Musk.”[1]

Several employees penned a letter criticizing their boss’s behavior, which they deemed embarrassing and distracting. Rather than acquiesce to the employees’ fragile sensitivities and issue an apology, the company fired the letter writers for biting the hand that fed them.

The second story’s headline reads: “Tech Company CEO Slams Woke Corporate Culture, Offers ‘Triggered’ Employees Severance Deal.”[2]

According to the story, Kraken – a U.S.–based cryptocurrency exchange and bank – took action against a small number of employees who felt the company was not “woke” and “diverse” enough. They weren’t fired, but instead were offered severance packages to “pursue the next chapter of their career.”

The reader comments below each story were overwhelmingly positive, a good example being:
“This [the SpaceX article] is a sign that the pendulum is swinging back. This and the crypto company that told its employees if they don’t agree with the company’s public viewpoints … they should leave, are signs that sanity is going to eventually come out on top.”

This is a hopeful response to 2 hopeful stories, but is it true? Will sanity win out?

Subversive Agenda
No; sanity will not win out.

What at first began as a trickle in the late 1960s is a Tsunami today. The LGBTQ deluge is storming the culture in waves so gargantuan that the stoutest of protective walls are rendered futile.

The acceptance of every gender preference is being forced upon society to the point that all who resist will be buried in the surging waters of change and conformity.

Check out this headline: “British Man Turned Away From Giving Blood after Refusing to Answer if He Was Pregnant.”[3] The subhead reads: “Potential blood donors in Scotland are asked if they are pregnant as part of a mission to promote inclusiveness.”

In the U.S., more and more public elementary schools and libraries are opening their doors to “Drag Queen Storytime.” Their purpose, according to one website, is “teaching children.”[4]

It’s all part of a subversive agenda to turn humanity away from God and to the worship of Satan. Such followers of the Devil may not even believe in him, but this, nonetheless, is what they are doing.

Satan’s Authority
Whether or not the world believes in Satan, the Bible makes clear that he is real, and that if one is not following God, He is following Satan. We read in 1 John 5:19: “We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.”

Furthermore, Jesus Himself calls Satan “the ruler of this world” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11). And the apostle Paul tells us that Satan is the “god of this world” (2 Corinthians 4:4).

And who is Satan? For one thing, he is “the father of lies.” Jesus describes Satan as “a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies” (John 8:44).

Satan is also a thief of souls whose purpose is “to steal and kill and destroy” (John 10:10).

He is the one behind the world’s subversion – a subversion relentlessly growing and spreading the closer we come to the return of Christ. And because the unsaved – some wittingly, most unwittingly – are followers of Satan in one way or another, they are latching on to his nefarious program of deception.

Because of this, “in the last days difficult times will come” (2 Timothy 3:1). As such, “evil people and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:13). Furthermore, “For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires” (2 Timothy 4:3).

And sadly, according to Paul, this subversion from God’s truth and sanity will infiltrate Christendom (and has already begun): “But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his trickery, your minds will be led astray from sincere and pure devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3).

Sanity Restored
So, back to our commentator who believed “that sanity is going to eventually come out on top.” Sadly, sanity will not return to Planet Earth this side of Christ’s return. As Paul wrote, things “will proceed from bad to worse.”

However, Jesus will return from His Heavenly abode, and when He does, He will establish His Kingdom on Earth, and will accomplish the “restoration of all things, about which God spoke by the mouths of His holy prophets from ancient times” (Acts 3:21).

Therefore, for now sanity won’t win out. But don’t despair, Christian, when Christ returns He will restore Planet Earth, including the restoration of all sanity!
