David, thanks for posting this. I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation. Yes, there is so much in the OT that sets the stage for the NT, including so many prophecies and foreshadowing “types” of the coming Messiah. There’s probably believers who avoid the OT because of the challenges you mentioned, but they’re missing out. A little study (your talk was a good introduction for your audience) of what the “mundane” represents and points to reaps spiritual gold. As it works out, I’ll be reading Numbers 7 with the repetition of the tribes tomorrow. I’m back to reading through the Bible yearly after retiring.
