If you follow the news, you are aware of the spate of attacks on people of Asian heritage here in the U.S. Most of them occur in California and New York.
These attacks are happening “out of the blue.” Those of Asian descent are merely walking on the street or riding a subway, when an individual – always far bigger than his victim – will walk up to them and begin pummeling them with fists and feet.
The attacks are brutal, merciless, and – I truly believe – satanic. It is as if the attackers are actually possessed by Satan. Whether they are or not, these assaults are pure evil.
And making matters so much worse is that the videos capturing these horrifying events show witnesses just standing or sitting by doing nothing to stop it. This includes a security guard who simply watched a woman being attacked, did nothing, then closed the door of the hotel outside of where the attack took place.
The videos for 2 brutal attacks were posted today, and I have included the links if you care to watch them.
Besides expressing my outrage, I have no real point to make other than I believe America is rotting from the inside out, and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is drawing ever closer. We need to be sharing the Gospel.
I close with this very familiar Bible passage – 2 Timothy 3:1-5 – highlighting those parts which most apply to these horrendous attacks:
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these.

I agree with you 100% this is evil and satanic and the US is truly rotting from the inside out. I was horrified by the hotel employee. I do not know what kind of seared conscious one has to have to think that is ok. I am a small person but I would call the police. I do not understand why these attacks are not being denounced and condemned by all people. The Lord is allowing us to live in a time where we are seeing what the world getting worse truly looks like.

I agree totally, Mandy. Especially with your last sentence. The Lord is indeed allowing us to see.

Hi David, Jeremiah 17:9 NASB states “The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?” Desperately sick pretty well encapsulates it, doesn’t it? Which is why, as you state, we need to be sharing the Gospel. This is not new, history abounds with this type of behaviour, anytime you have a minority living within a majority and accountability diminishes. One would think that this wouldn’t or shouldn’t be happening but one would be wrong, because it surely is. People of colour, Jews, Asians, native Americans etc, have been experiencing brutality in various forms, for many years. When lawlessness (non-accountability) grows, this is what increasingly happens. Hearts need to be changed. These attacks are being denounced and condemned, but in far to many cases, it is only lip service. And at the personal level, it is much easier to just turn away and disregard, than become involved. The “brotherhood” of man is not pretty and we indeed reap what we sow. As Christians, we are indeed our brother’s keeper and it matters not what nationality or colour they may be. The parable of the “Good Samaritan” that Jesus gave us, comes to mind. These attacks are not being denounced and condemned “by all people” because all peoples hearts have not been changed and therein lies the problem. Sad indeed.

Thanks, David. This violence directed at Asian Americans is a hateful reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic that was further incited by irresponsible politicians who labeled it the “Chinese virus.” Yes, the virus originated in China, but Asian Americans are obviously not to blame and said politicians did not “think it through” when they kept repeating the incendiary statement.

Good points David. I might add that this aggression against Asians was prevalent in the 80s and 90s in Harlem as they owned and operated most produce markets there.
This “evil” now is another devilish fruit cultivated from lawlessness. Race crimes are center stage but consider that rapes and murders are surging nonstop. These crimes destroy and devastate lives and families.
Without moral fortitude, the last bulwark to bloodlust is the law and punishment. Mob rule has dismantled it and we now see man’s flesh expressing every wickedness unrestrained.
Useless sign waving and political pandering only assuages collective conscience.
We are indeed bearing rotten fruit and worse, we’re unwilling to pull it out and plant righteousness.
Press on brother as the pot stirs and heats…

Yes I saw them and had to look away they were so awful to watch. My heart is broken with all that is currently happening David. Let us all feel the urgency of sharing the GOSPEL because like you, I do believe JESUS is coming soon.
